지난주 미네소타 사상 유례없는 시위와 폭동으로 인하여 미네소타에 사업을 하시는 한인 여러분이 막대한 피해를 입으셨습니다. 수년간 피땀 흘려 세워 놓으신 사업체들이 전소되거나 약탈을 당했습니다. 이분들이 겪고 계신 말로 표현하기 힘든 아픔과 고통에 심심한 위로를 드립니다.
비록 이분들의 피해를 다 회복할 수는 없으나 우리들의
작은 정성을 십시일반 모아 전달한다면 피해를 입으신
분들에게 큰 위로와 격려가 될 것이라 여기며 온라인 모금을 진행하려 합니다.
뜻이 있는 분들의 많은 참여를 부탁드립니다.

Last week Minnesota experienced one of the most violent moments in our history. George Floyd’s death instigated the protest and progressed to an extremely violent rioting.
During that turmoil, many Korean stores were burned to the ground and severely looted. Many years of toil and labor to establish their business went down the drain and all their effort was wasted. Their pain and suffering are indescribable. We feel their pain in our hearts and we want them to know we are behind them.
Please join us in our effort to encourage and help them in restoring their business. Every dollar counts. Thank you for your donation.

Round Table Discussion for Korean Immigrants' Mental Health

On October 18, KSC had a round table discussion for Korean Immigrants' Mental Health / Welfare at its St. Paul office. Several "gatekeepers" of the community joined this meeting and shared their valuable insights and stories of the Korean immigrants who they've met. 복지센터는 지난 10월 18일, 세인트 폴 사무실에서 지역사회의 Gatekeeper 역할을 하고 있는 분들을 모시고, 교민들의 정신 건강 및 복지현황 파악을 위한 좌담회를 개최했습니다. 한현숙 한인회장, 김지언, 김영호, 군자 존슨, 홍성주 님이 참석하여 유익한 말씀들을 해주셨습니다.
We Have a New Garage!

Thanks to the DHS (Department of Human Services)'s CS/SD (Community Service/ Service Development) grant, KSC recently had a new garage at the St. Paul office's parking lot. This garage will be used for the Transportation/Escort Program's vehicle. Under the same grant, we will pave the parking lot as well during this summer.
미네소타 DHS의 "지역사회 개발 (CS/SD)" 지원금으로 세인트폴 사무실 주차장에 새로운 차고를 공사를 마무리 지었습니다. 앞으로 에스코트 프로그램에 이용하고 있는 차량을 이 곳에 주차 및 관리할 예정입니다. 또한 이번 여름 기간 동안 주차장의 아스팔트 포장공사도 진행될 예정입니다.

맛있는 점심식사 후에, 아래층 영어교실에서 영화 <국제시장> 관람을 했습니다.
