Caregiver Support Program

The Caregiver Support Program assists caregivers in making necessary plans to successfully care for their family members.

 

케어기버들이 노인을 모시는데 필요한 각종 정보를 제공해 드림으로써 적절하고 효과적인 계획을 세워 모실 수 있도록 도와드리며 케어기버 자신 역시 건강하고 균형 있는 삶을 누릴 수 있도록 다음과 같은 서비스를 제공합니다.

  • 케어기버를 위한 교육과 상담

  • 노인과 케어기버를 위한 서포트 그룹 모임

  • Bi-weekly Respite 서비스

 

*케어기버(Caregiver)란 ?

가족이나 친지, 가까운 친구 또는 장애를 가진 자녀 및 친인척을 보살피고 있는 사람을 말합니다. 현재 미국의 네 가정 중의 한 가정은 이와 같은 케어기버의 역할을 담당하고 있습니다.

GEER Program (Bright Minds, Healthy Kids)

*Governor's Emergency Education Relief

 

Bright Minds, Healthy Kids is designed to provide support to children of Korean heritage under the age of 8. Our aim is to promote children's well-being and successful development  providing supportive connections, cultural and linguistic assistance within the Korean-American Community.

 

Some of the services we offer include:

  • Translation/Interpretation Services.

  • Cultural Consultation & Sensitivity Training

  • Referrals to the Appropriate Professionals.

  • Facilitating Support, Resources and Education for Parents,  Public/Social Services, Healthcare, Teachers, and Administrators.

  • Creating Community Connections between all stakeholders involved in the well-being, the education, and the healthy emotional & mental development of children.
